Survival Pending Revolution x Philadelphia Printworks

For nearly a decade I have had the distinct honor of being in community with Gayle ‘Asali’ Dickson, one of the first female artists to work for the Black Panther Party Intercommunal News Service. Asali’s work powerfully illustrated the experiences and importance of women, elders, and children, reflecting the Party's mission of resistance and community activism. In wanting to practice interdependent relationships, it's important for me to build my elders as they build me.

Survival Pending Revolution showcases some of Gayle's iconic vintage art. Each piece speaks to the ongoing struggles for social justice, drawing connections between the past and today’s challenges.More than just amplifying Gayle's work, this collection represents ongoing work that I have committed to with regard mutual aid and material support for Gayle as not only a movement elder but as a close comrade - 100% of net proceeds for any purchases will go directly to Gayle.
